Amate Audio continues the evolutionary journey started by Amate Electroacústica and its Master Audio trading brand. In 1972, a group of professionals passionate about music and sound went into production with the first speaker and amplifier designs.
Five decades later, the company operates from three facilities in Terrassa, all dedicated to the design, engineering, and manufacture of professional loudspeaker systems. The headquarters at Perpinyà 25 houses commercial and export operations. The R&D facility at Violinista Vellsolà 18 is home to the engineering team and a 400 m³ anechoic chamber recognized as one of the most advanced in Europe. Acoustic systems production runs out of Urquinaona 87, the dedicated production facility.
The company has been recognized with the Innovative SME distinction by the Spanish government and the Terrassa Chamber of Commerce Innovation Award, in both 2009 and 2017. Amate Audio is a partner of the Orbital 40 Science and Technology Park of Terrassa.
I had developed a passion. Maybe even an obsession. To do something to enable the beauty, power and nuance of a musical performance to be heard in a more perfect, natural way.
The obsession traces back further. As Juan Amate tells it:
It all started in my youth when I began modifying old radios, trying, not always successfully, to improve the power output and achieve a better sound.

Beyond the studio.
Beyond countless installations in clubs, bars, theatres, and auditoriums, Amate Audio sound systems are deployed in stadiums in the Netherlands, Spain, and Turkey, and in vast churches in South Korea. The brand powers two of the largest synchronized music fountains in the world: Montjuïc in Barcelona, and Goyang in South Korea.
From the beginning, my passion was to bring the beauty, power and nuance of musical performance closer to the listener, in the most natural way possible.
