Jack Rotterdam Restaurant

Jack Rotterdam is a restaurant where 30 years of dance music and fine food coalesce. Founded by a former techno DJ-turned restaurant and hotel concept developer, the venue blends dining and dancing in equal measures.

The challenge

What the venue needed.

When Jack opened his own house concept eatery, Amate Audio's Benelux distributor Imagination AV was charged with specifying and installing a sound system that could deliver high-quality audio for both dinner service and dance floor energy in a single long, beautifully arched venue, without resorting to a separate system for each function.

The system

What was deployed.

On the dance floor, eight Nítid N6P 2-way systems and a pair of N12WP subwoofers are powered by three HD2000 amplifiers. The N6P's frequency response and high SPL output is astounding for a cabinet of its size, due to a 6-inch carbon fibre driver. Providing the same full-range sound at lower SPLs in the dining area, ten lower-profile B8 cabinets are powered with HD1200 amplifiers and controlled with a DSP608 loudspeaker management system.
